Currently Studying: Matthew

In 2024-25, we will be doing a 30-week study of Matthew, beginning on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 10:10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Chapel.

Matthew wrote by the power of the Holy Spirit, primarily to his fellow Jews, proving through Scripture that Jesus's life and ministry fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah. In studying this Gospel, you can clearly hear Matthew's message: Jesus is indeed the long-awaited Jewish Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Immanuel, God with Us!

Next year, beginning August 20, 2025, we will be doing a 30-week study of Psalms on Wednesdays, at 10:10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Chapel.

The book of Psalms has served as the hymnbook and prayerbook of God's people from ancient times and on into the present. Known as the Psalter, this collection Holy Spirit-inspired poetry captures the highs and lows of life. The Psalms are powerful prayers, guiding us into honest communication with God. They validate our doubts, passions, fears, and longings and show us how to draw near to God in our struggles. This Bible study organizes the Psalms thematically, making it easier to grasp their main ideas and apply them to our own conversations with God.

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, music, games and other activities, we seek to provide a nurturing environment where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. We welcome your children (Birth - 5 yrs) to experience the love of Jesus through the loving servants in our CBS Children's Ministry.
